Sands China Fully Supports Macao SAR Government’s New Promotional Campaign

Company joining hands with local SMEs to provide special offers to visitors

(Macao, Sept. 1, 2020) – Sands China Ltd. is fully committed to supporting the Macao SAR government’s new promotional campaign by joining hands with local SMEs to provide special offers to visitors from mainland China starting from Sept. 1, thus contributing to the gradual recovery of Macao’s economy.

The new campaign – launched by the MSAR government in cooperation with e-commerce service providers Tencent and Alibaba, as well as local airline Air Macau – aims to attract more visitors to Macao and accelerate the recovery of the local economy.

By providing visitors from the mainland with promotional offers covering categories such as flight tickets, accommodation, and spending at local shops, the campaign seeks to encourage longer stays in Macao and stimulate visitor spending while in the city.

The campaign is part of the MOP 10 billion Macao government economic recovery investment plan, which includes the consumption e-voucher subsidy scheme for Macao ID holders; subsidies for domestic tourism trips undertaken by Macao ID holders; and a subsidy programme for local employees, self-employed professionals, and businesses.
