Sands Cares Launches Family Health and Wellness Series: The Londoner Discovery Journey

Sands Cares Ambassadors host Women's General Association of Macau

(Macao, Mar. 22, 2021) – A group of 20 Sands Cares Ambassadors hosted about 80 members of the Women's General Association of Macau at The Londoner^® Macao Saturday for a special guided tour of the newly launched British-themed integrated resort.

During The Londoner Discovery Journey, the 100 participants split into four groups to visit some of The Londoner Macao's Instagram-worthy locations, such as the Tea Cups, Londoner Guards and Londoner Taxi. They completed fun missions throughout the journey in order to win the prize of one night of accommodation at The Londoner Macao, and enjoyed afternoon refreshments and entertainment at Portuguese restaurant Chiado.

"Sands China is very pleased to have collaborated with the Women's General Association of Macau for our first community activity at The Londoner Macao," said Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd. "The outing is also the first activity of the new Sands Cares Family Health and Wellness Series, which aims to strengthen family bonding and parent-child communication, and to promote family health. Sands China will continue its partnerships with local associations like the Women's General Association of Macau to spread warmth in the community, and plans to further promote the importance of family bonding through similar community activities – which help to strengthen parent-child communication and build a strong and supportive family unit centred on communication, mutual respect and appreciation, quality time, and teamwork.

The Sands Cares Ambassador programme was established in August 2009 to give Sands China team members an outlet for serving the local community by organising community activities and initiatives that work toward creating a better Macao. With membership of more than 3,300 volunteers from across all Sands China properties – Sands^® Macao, The Venetian^® Macao, The Plaza^® Macao, The Parisian Macao and The Londoner^® Macao – the Sands Cares Ambassadors have contributed more than 130,000 hours of voluntary community service since the programme's founding.

Sands China Ltd. considers initiatives like the new Sands Cares Family Health and Wellness Series as central to its commitment toward social causes and community involvement.
