Sands Macao Celebrates 18th Anniversary with Complimentary Boxed Lunches for Taxi Drivers

Annual tradition since 2004 property opening

(Macao, May 18, 2022) – Sands^® Macao celebrated its 18th anniversary Wednesday with its annual tradition of presenting complimentary boxed lunches to Macao taxi drivers.

Ray Lok, vice president and general manager of Sands Macao, and other Sands Macao team members greeted taxi drivers arriving at the hotel and entertainment complex at noon, handing out meal packs featuring doubled-boiled fish maw chicken soup with ginseng and pork bone, sautéed prawn, scallop and jade squash with spicy sauce, soy chicken with ginger dip, anniversary birthday bun, and apple.

"Our gratitude goes to Macao’s taxi drivers for carrying out their essential services, particularly during this challenging time," said Lok. "It is our pleasure to offer them these complimentary lunch sets on our anniversary each year, and we hope they enjoy the care that went into preparing them especially for this occasion."
