Sands China Raising Funds for Tung Sin Tong with The Venetian
Macao's Gondola Rides

(Macao, Nov. 15, 2022) – Sands China is running a fundraising campaign to benefit Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society, which it kicked off Saturday with a ceremony at The Parisian Macao's Le Jardin picnic area in front of the integrated resort's iconic Eiffel Tower.

With the Sands Cares x Tung Sin Tong 130th Anniversary: Gondola Rides for Charity, Sands China is donating all proceeds from the outdoor gondola rides at The Venetian® Macao for 13 consecutive Sundays, from Nov. 13, 2022 to Feb. 12, 2023, to support the charity organisation's services to the community and in honour of its anniversary. All are encouraged to experience the outdoor gondola rides during this period to show their support to this meaningful initiative.

At Saturday's kick-off event, around 30 Sands Cares Ambassadors hosted 60 students from Escola Tong Sin Tong Primary School and their family members as their guests. At Le Jardin, they enjoyed games, The Parisian Macao's signature tea-time picnic, a magic show, and face painting – creating a memorable time for the participating families. Afterwards, they experienced the outdoor gondola rides at The Venetian Macao's lagoon and received a gift pack as a memento of the day.

"Sands China sends its congratulations to Tung Sin Tong for its 130th anniversary, and we are very pleased to raise funds for this long-established local charity that we have worked with for nearly two decades," said Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd. "It is a pleasure to be able to utilise a popular attraction like our gondola rides to support Tong Sin Tong's invaluable services to the Macao community. They have our gratitude for the work they do and for their long-time collaboration with Sands China, as do our Sands Cares Ambassadors for their volunteer work."

José Chui Sai Peng, president of the board of directors of Tung Sin Tong, said: "Our warm gratitude goes to Sands China and the Sands Cares Ambassadors for running the Gondola Rides for Charity fundraising campaign in celebration of our 130th anniversary. Saturday's kick-off event offered our students a joyful moment well-spent with their family outside the classroom. This fundraising event spreads positivity and promotes a philanthropic spirit through thick and thin. May we pass the torch of our unwavering principle, 'a common wish to benefit society, a virtuous atmosphere to welcome all.'"

Guests of honour attending the kick-off ceremony were José Chui Sai Peng; Tung Sin Tong board members Charles M. Choy, Agnes Fok, and Alberto Lei; Sam Chongnin, vice president of corporate communications and community affairs for Venetian Macau Limited; Connie Chio, vice president of Venetian Hotel; Danny Tang, vice president of Parisian resort operations; and Ronald Leong, executive director of transportation and resort operations for Sands China Ltd.

Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society was founded more than a century ago in 1892, and is one of the most notable charitable organisations in Macao. It has been offering free medical services, medicine and education for those in need since the early days of its establishment.

Sands China's support of Tung Sin Tong is part of Sands Cares, the corporate citizenship programme of parent company Las Vegas Sands Corp.
