Sands China Properties Welcome Year of the Rabbit with Lion and Dragon Dances


(Macao, Jan. 23, 2023) – Sands China Ltd. welcomed the Year of the Rabbit with traditional Chinese New Year ceremonies at its properties Monday, attended by company executives.


The company held worship rituals, eye-dotting ceremonies, and traditional lion and dragon dance performances at Sands® Macao, The Venetian® Macao, The Parisian Macao, and The Londoner® Macao on the second day of the Lunar New Year to attract good luck and blessings to the properties and to Macao.


Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd., said: "Sands China begins the Year of the Rabbit with continued optimism for Macao, as the city shows encouraging signs for economic recovery. We wish for good health, prosperity, and blessings for the people of Macao and its visitors, and we look forward to the continued leadership of the Macao SAR government as we all work together to revive the city's economy, help new businesses thrive, and rejuvenate the community."


Sands China executives will celebrate the New Year with its team members next week at special back-of-house events at the four properties, featuring games, lucky draws, roast pig-carving ceremonies, and a parade by team members.
