Sands China Launches 'Amazing Summer' Activities for Team Members and Their Families

Sixth year of company's series of parent-child activities for team members and their families

(Macao, Aug 7, 2023) – Sands China launched its Sands China Amazing Summer 2023 with an opening ceremony July 21 at The Venetian^® Macao's Cotai Expo, kicking off its campaign of fun summer activities for team members and their families.

"Sands China has brought back the Amazing Summer campaign for the sixth time with a series of fun activities where team members and their children enjoy precious quality time together," said Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd. "Our company always seeks to facilitate the well-being of our team members, including in their relationships with their children. We therefore actively organise various initiatives and activities to promote family harmony among team members and their children, and to improve their communication and mutual understanding. Our thanks go to our team members and their families for participating in this event, and we hope it brings them much fun and joy."

Sands China Amazing Summer 2023 is giving Sands China team members the opportunity to experience a wide variety of fun workshops and activities – featuring sports, art and culture, and entertainment – with their children in July and August, aimed at helping them enjoy a memorable time together during the summer holiday:

Amazing Fun Party

• The Little Incredibles game seeks to inspire children's curiosity and pursuit of knowledge with a friendly competition. Children participate in the game in teams, helping develop their teamwork and communication skills.
  
• At the recent Little Master Chef Workshop, children learned how to make sushi under the guidance of a professional Sands China chef. From preparing ingredients to rolling rice and plating, they participated in the process from start to finish. This free workshop taught them hands-on skills and encouraged their interest in cooking through making delicious sushi.
  
• The Little Artist Workshop allows children to unleash their creativity and create exquisite DIY handmade arts and crafts under the guidance of a mentor.
  

Sports

• Through a Family Field Trip to the Macao Grand Prix Museum, participants learn about the extraordinary history of the world-famous race and experience the excitement of the Macau Grand Prix, a landmark international event in Macao.
  
• At MVP Camp, coaches use elements such as experience, exercise, and games to let children experience the joy of basketball.
  
• On Kin-Ball Open Day, children can feel the joy of exercise through this unique new-to-Macao three-team sport that features fun gameplay and helps develop a habit of exercise.
  

Storytelling and Art Creation

• The Storytelling Workshop features picture books on the theme of virtues and life education, allowing parents and children to experience the fun of interactive reading and inspiring children's creativity.
  
• With the DIY Your Plant Workshop, mentors lead parents and children to paint their own unique flower pots and begin to enjoy the fun of planting and gardening.
  
• The Let's Paint Together activity allows children to learn the skills and concepts of drawing with pastels and to create their own works under the guidance of a mentor.
  

The annual Amazing Summer activity is part of Sands China's continued commitment to its team members and their quality of life, both at work and at home. The company has also joined hands with the Macao Education and Youth Bureau since 2022 to promote parenting education among team members. By offering parenting skills and knowledge, the Parenting Education Programme aims to raise team members' awareness and understanding of parent-child education. To date, the company has offered around 30 on-site parenting education programmes at Sands China properties.
