Introducing new AI health assessments
Drawing over 7,000 participants
(Macao, Jun 30, 2026) – Sands China has always considered the health and well-being of its team members essential to the company’s stable and sustainable development. From June 2 to 26 this year, the company held its annual wellness initiative, Happy 360 Month, at The Venetian® Macao, The Parisian® Macao, The Londoner® Macao, and Sands® Macao, drawing more than 7,000 participants. This year marked the sixth edition of the initiative, and it introduced an AI health assessment experience, combining technology with health education to further enhance team members’ health and preventive healthcare awareness. A closing ceremony was held on June 24 in the heart-of-house area of The Venetian Macao.
Happy 360 Month is Sands China’s long-term flagship programme for promoting the holistic well-being of its team members. Over the years, through various activities such as roadshows, seminars, and interactive workshops, it has helped team members build positive thinking, enhance their sense of well-being, and promote a healthy work-life balance.
Dr. Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China Ltd., said: “Sands China is a large family with over 28,000 team members, and their healthy development is a key driving force for the company’s continuous progress. Over the years, Sands China has adopted a ‘people-oriented’ philosophy, caring for team members’ mental and physical well-being through various initiatives like ‘Happy 360 Month.’ We encourage them to develop healthy lifestyles and foster a caring, supportive, and positive work environment, in alignment with the Macao SAR government’s ‘Healthy Macao Blueprint’ and ‘Healthy Community’ policies. We sincerely thank the Macao SAR government for its long-term guidance and support. Looking ahead, we will further strengthen cooperation with the government, social service organizations, and mental health professionals to build a more comprehensive community health support network, working together to realize the vision of a ‘Happy Macao.’”
Happy 360 Month is themed around the 5S Model for emotions: Stop Negative Thinking, Self-Questioning, Self-Pep Talk, Stay Attentive to Body Responses, and Shuffle Your Thoughts. The model encourages team members to recognise emotional changes and adjust their daily thought patterns and pace of life through simple, practical approaches. During the initiative, Sands China held a total of 16 themed roadshows in the heart-of-house areas of its properties, which were well-received by team members. They covered topics such as Inner Wellness Tips, Understanding Common Health Issues, Health and Happiness Index Test, and How to Power Up Positive Emotions.
This year’s programme introduced an AI Tongue Image Analyzer Station, which used AI image analysis technology to give real-time, objective health reference data to raise team members’ awareness of their own physical condition, while also reinforcing the idea that prevention is better than cure when it comes to health management.
Complementing the roadshows, Sands China held three seminars and workshops covering hearing care, emotional relief, and physical and mental relaxation, helping team members understand health management from multiple perspectives.
A closing ceremony for Happy 360 Month on June 24 was officiated by: Chan Un Tong, director of the Macao Labour Affairs Bureau; Wong Weng Man, head of the Health Promotion Division of the Macao Health Bureau; Wong Pak Kei, acting head of the Community Service Coordination Division of the Macao Social Welfare Bureau; Leong Pou U, vice president of the Macau Federation of Trade Unions; Chan Ka Leong, president of the board of directors of the General Union of Neighbourhood Associations of Macau; Loi I Weng, vice president of the board of directors of the Women’s General Association of Macau; Anny Yip, service coordinator of the Sheng Kung Hui Macau Social Services Coordination Office; Paul Loi, director general of Au Hon Sam Charity Association; Danny Loi, executive director of Cheng Mio Medical Centre; Shirley Tam, assistant general manager of Moxabird; and Dr. Wong.
