‘2026 Sands Shopping Carnival’ Returns to The Venetian Macao in Late July

A four-day event establishing the Greater Bay Area’s signature summer tourism brand

(Macao, Jul 9, 2026) – As the peak summer travel season approaches, Sands China will once again present Macao’s annual signature shopping event – the 2026 Sands Shopping Carnival – at Halls A and B at The Venetian® Macao’s Cotai Expo, running four consecutive days July 23-26. As the largest sale event in Macao, this year’s event combines shopping, food, cultural and creative arts, sports, and parent-child experiences, allowing residents and tourists to fully experience Macao’s diverse MICE charm. The 2026 Sands Shopping Carnival is open to the public for free from noon to 10 p.m. daily, with free shuttle bus transportation at various ports of entry. The public are welcome to plan their itineraries early and enjoy a wonderful and fulfilling summer holiday filled with one-stop food, fun, and shopping with family and friends.

Over 580 booths with daily special MOP 1 items and limited-time discounts
The Sands Shopping Carnival has attracted over 640,000 visitors over its past six editions and has always been highly popular among residents of Hong Kong, Macao, and the wider Greater Bay Area.

This year, the scale of the exhibition has expanded even further, featuring over 580 specialty booths that bring together various international and local Macao brands. The carnival covers eight themed exhibition zones: Sands retailers, household products, gourmet and wine, food court, Macao cultural and creative, play and fun, sports experience, and a Macao specialties and souvenirs zone sure to be popular among visitors. The 2026 Sands Shopping Carnival will continue to roll out more than 5,000 special MOP 1 items each day and huge discounts of up to 90 percent off, providing an extensive array of shopping choices for residents and tourists alike.

Greater Bay Area karaoke competition sees enthusiastic response; attracting singers from different cities to Macao stage
As one of the highlights of the carnival, the ICBC ePay Presents: Greater Bay Area Karaoke King Singing Competition will be held July 25-26. As in previous years, the response to this year’s competition has been overwhelming, attracting numerous talented singers from Hong Kong, Macao, and various cities across Guangdong to sign up.

Shortlisted contestants from different regions will gather in Macao to compete on the same stage, with the champion taking home a grand prize of MOP 10,000. Members of the public are invited to attend and witness the rise of this year’s singing champion.

The carnival will feature a wealth of family-friendly activities, including the BOC Smart Kids Presents: Little Master Chef Workshop, Bank of Communications Presents: “Play and Fun” Kids Area, and The Busking Corner. These activities offer on-site registration free of charge, adding excellent leisure and entertainment options for visitors of all ages.

Cultural and creative brands from the GBA to showcase multicultural vitality
Beyond shopping and entertainment, this year’s Cultural and Creative Zone has welcomed a multitude of cultural and creative brands from Hong Kong, Macao, and Guangdong. The venue will showcase and sell various design-focused handmade crafts, original designs, and lifestyle items. This not only provides an exchange platform for creative talents in the Greater Bay Area but also allows the audience to experience rich cultural diversity while shopping.

First-ever Sports Experience Zone debuts with pickleball and various sports games
Keeping pace with global sports trends, this year’s carnival features a Sports Experience Zone for the first time. Key highlight of the zone is a pickleball experience, allowing the public to feel the fun of this internationally popular, fast-growing, and easy-to-learn sport firsthand. Furthermore, with The NBA China Games 2026 set to take place this October at The Venetian Arena, the zone will also feature a free basketball shooting challenge, letting young fans kindle the passion of the tournament this summer. Additionally, the “Play and Fun” Kids Area will feature various fun sports game booths to create unforgettable family moments.

Carnival’s largest-ever food court gathers internet-famous eateries and local souvenirs
On the dining front, the food court has expanded to its largest scale yet, bringing together over 50 internet-famous and popular Macao eateries. From traditional street snacks to modern trendsetting desserts, visitors can savour a wide variety of popular local delicacies in one stop. The venue also features a Macao specialty souvenir zone, gathering multiple authentic local souvenir brands, adding to the sweeping one-stop experience that makes it convenient for travellers from Hong Kong and around the world to take the flavours of Macao back home.

Comprehensive transportation services with direct, free shuttle buses
The Cotai Expo at The Venetian Macao offers a well-established transportation network. To facilitate travel for visitors from Hong Kong and other cities, free shuttle bus services will be provided during the event, running directly to the venue from several major ports of entry, including the Hengqin Port, the Macao Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge (HZMB), and the Taipa Ferry Terminal. Free parking services are also available on-site.

Alternatively, visitors can take Macao Light Rapid Transit (LRT) to the Cotai West station for a short walk to the venue, or utilize Macao’s public bus services, as multiple bus routes pass through the Cotai Strip area.

The 2026 Sands Shopping Carnival is organized by Sands China Ltd. and co-organized by the Macao Chamber of Commerce (MCC), with the full support of the Economic and Technological Development Bureau (DSEDT), the Macao Government Tourism Office (MGTO), and the Commerce and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM). It is sponsored by Bank of China (Macau) Limited, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Macau) Limited, Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. Macau Branch, and Banco Nacional Ultramarino (BNU).

In alignment with the Macao SAR government’s “tourism +” development strategy, the carnival has built the largest free sales platform in Macao for local SMEs, Sands retailers, and community partners for seven consecutive years now. It aims to forge a high-profile annual brand event for Macao tourism and consumption, thereby driving the diversified economic development of Macao.
