Families Enjoy Sands China’s ‘Amazing Summer’ Event Series for 9th Straight Year

Diverse parent-child activities allow team members’ families to experience cultural integration

(Macao, Sept. 01, 2026)- As one of the company’s key initiatives to promote a family-friendly culture, Sands China Ltd. held the Sands China Amazing Summer 2026 series of events in July and August, including the Summer Carnival and a variety of activities such as sports, arts, cooking, and workplace experiences, allowing team members and their children to enjoy family time and celebrate the summer together, attracting a total of 600 participants.

Since its launch in 2018, Sands China Amazing Summer has been held for nine consecutive years and is one of Sands China’s important initiatives to create an environment of work-life balance for its team members and promote family harmony. The event series has attracted over 5,100 team members and their families to participate over the years, providing warm and enjoyable summer family time for them.

With a theme of Culture and Inclusion, this year’s event series kicked off with a Summer Carnival on July 24 at The Venetian® Macao’s Cotai Expo. It featured several interactive game booths inspired by the customs, cultures, and landmarks of different countries, along with exciting performances. Through engaging and educational experiences, it aimed to foster interaction and communication between team members and their children, while deepening their understanding and appreciation of multiculturalism.

The opening ceremony was officiated by Dr. Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China Ltd.; Cheong Man Fai, head of the Department of Youth of the Education and Youth Development Bureau; Wong Weng Man, head of the Health Promotion Division of the Health Bureau; Wong Pak Kei, acting head of the Community Service Coordination Division of the Social Welfare Bureau; Wong U Kei, chairman of the board of directors of the Macao Polytechnic University Alumni Association; and Ngai Ngan In, head of general affairs at Lin Fong Pou Chai School.

Dr. Wong said: “Our team members and their families are at the heart of our company. Over the years, we have placed great importance on our team members’ well-being by helping them balance career development and family needs through parenting education, family-oriented activities, and a diverse range of support measures and family-friendly policies. These initiatives promote their physical and mental health and contribute to building happy families.

“We are delighted that the Sands China Amazing Summer Event Series is now in its ninth year. Through this initiative, we continue to create opportunities for our team members and their families to learn, experience, and grow together, strengthening parent-child relationships through meaningful interaction. We recognise that our team members are able to devote themselves to their work not only through their own dedication and diligence, but also from the support and encouragement of their families. With ‘Culture and Inclusion’ as its theme, this year’s event encourages parents and children to inspire each other by gaining a deeper understanding of different cultures, learning to appreciate diversity through exchange, and by working together to build a more inclusive and harmonious society. We will continue to work hand in hand with our team members to promote a family-friendly culture and strive to create a workplace environment where they feel happy, proud, and a strong sense of belonging.”
