and Community Members Celebrate
Venetian 15th Anniversary
with 4 Months of Activities
Games, lucky draws, performances and prizes

Dec. 28, 2022) – Sands China Ltd. has wrapped up
a successful four-month team member appreciation
campaign, V-Celebrate, V-Fun & V-Appreciate,
attracting over 7,000 participants across more than 200
activity sessions since
August.
Sands'
co-founder Dr. Miriam Adelson had helped kick off the
series of exciting events by sending her best wishes in
a video message to all team members. She thanked team
members for supporting the company's developmental
vision and for their efforts in assisting The
Venetian® Macao to accomplish remarkable
achievements. She also said she looked forward to
continue walking side by side with team members in the
future.
In celebration
of the 15th anniversary of The Venetian Macao,
Sands China held the series of activities to show the
company's appreciation for team members, their families
and friends, and community members who have shown their
support to The Venetian Macao over the years, while
offering an opportunity for them to have fun. Since the
kick-off of the campaign in August, team members and
their families have been able to join a number of fun
activities, win prizes, and enjoy quality family time
together.
A
celebration carnival ran in August and September
at The Venetian Ballroom, and included screenings of the
"Making of Venetian" documentary, a "V-Care" exhibition
showcasing team member growth with Sands China, a team
member knowledge quiz, games, handicraft souvenir
workshops, and lucky draws. Sands China extended the
carnival invitation out to the wider community, inviting
more than 20 organisations, including educational
institutes, community associations, and medical
groups.
The campaign
also included a Venetian experience for team members,
family, and friends. Interested team members and
their families and friends enrolled in a variety of 17
activities where they could get a taste of The Venetian
Macao's services and facilities, such as a Cotai Strip
limousine experience, an exclusive tea-time experience
at the Presidential Suite, a behind-the-scenes property
tour, and a Venetian photo competition, as well as
attend culinary workshops with their
children.
Wong Sam Mao,
a team member from the table games department, said: "I
really enjoyed the Venetian experiential activities the
company designed for us during the 15th anniversary
celebration. My kids and I learned about the interesting
stories behind The Venetian's classical architecture,
and we explored the Heart of the House area and
different departments together. We even took a luxurious
ride around the Cotai Strip! We had such a wonderful
family time!"
A unique
Celebrity Experience at the Arena in November
gave team members a chance to perform on the same Cotai
Arena stage where superstars like Katy Perry, Jacky
Cheung, Jay Chou and hundreds of other stars have
performed. Over 30 team members from 19 different
departments passed their auditions and performed in
front of an audience of over
1,100.
The campaign
also featured social media activities that have been
running on the Sands China Careers Facebook page since
August and wrap up this month. These activities, themed
around the anniversary celebration of The Venetian
Macao, are open to team members and their families. By
joining these activities or sharing remarkable moments
of the campaign on social media platforms, participants
are eligible for a chance to win hotel accommodation,
dining vouchers, and other
prizes.
As Macao's
first and still its most well-known integrated resort,
The Venetian Macao has hosted 386 million visitors over
the last 15 years. Its vast entertainment and MICE
venues have welcomed celebrities such as Lady Gaga,
Aaron Kwok, and the Rolling Stones; presented sports
events like Fists of Gold that were shown live around
the world; hosted large-scale meetings of over 10,000
participants for multinational giants; and staged
theatre shows like "Cats" and "Beauty and the
Beast."
With the
establishment of The Venetian Macao, Sands China has
since added to its portfolio The Plaza®
Macao; Sands® Cotai Central, now reborn as
The Londoner® Macao; and The Parisian Macao,
in a bid to realise its vision for Cotai. The company is
continuing its efforts to help build Macao as a world
centre of tourism and leisure, having invested US$15
billion in Macao to
date.
