Sands China Hosts Charity Roadshow for Team Members
Promotes products and services of four local NGOs
(Macao, Apr 15, 2024) – Sands China recently held a charity roadshow for its team members at its properties' back-of-house areas March 25-28, helping them gain an in-depth understanding of the services and products of local NGOs while supporting them through charity sales.
BYS Bosco Green Store, Caritas Macao, Noah Family Mutual Aid Association, and Oxfam in Macao participated in the fundraising roadshows, which were held at The Venetian® Macao, The Parisian Macao, The Londoner® Macao, and Sands® Macao.
The four NGOs offered a variety of products for sale, including environmentally friendly cleaning products, Oxfam Rice, cultural and creative products, shopping bags made by disadvantaged groups, and others. The participating organisations displayed the ways they help the public serve the community, which includes environmental protection through charity sales, supporting smallholder farmers, promoting Macao's local culture, and showcasing the talents of people with disabilities.

The four-day event directly promoted products and services of the four NGOs to 26,000 Sands China team members, with Sands Cares Ambassadors assisting the NGOs at the booths. Representatives of the participating charities shared how the roadshow offered a platform for them to introduce their services, hence expanding the promotion of their charity products.
The roadshow is part of this year's celebration of the 15th anniversary of the Sands Cares Ambassador programme. Sands China launched the programme in August 2009, becoming the first integrated resort operator in Macao to establish a volunteer team; membership now surpasses 3,300 volunteers from across all of Sands China properties. The programme provides team members with a platform to serve the local community through organising various community activities and engaging in volunteer services, thereby conveying love and care to local disadvantaged groups, contributing to local social development, and helping to establish a harmonious and inclusive community.
The Sands Cares Ambassador programme and other community initiatives are part of Sands Cares, the global corporate citizenship programme of parent company Las Vegas Sands Corp.
