Sands China Organises Team Members to Visit 2026 National Security Education Exhibition

Part of Sands China’s professionalism education series

(Macao, Apr 16, 2026) – In response to the 11th National Security Education Day, Sands China Ltd. organised 50 management team members to visit the 2026 National Security Education Exhibition Thursday in Macao at the China-Portuguese-speaking Countries Commercial and Trade Service Platform Complex. The event was led by Dave Sun, executive vice president and chief financial officer of Sands China Ltd. and managing director of Venetian Macau Limited, aiming to enhance team members’ overall understanding of national security and jointly safeguard and promote national development.

This is the eighth time Sands China has organised a team member visit to the exhibition since it was first held in 2018, as part of Sands China’s professionalism education series. This year’s exhibition, themed “Proactively Aligning with the 15th Five-Year Plan, following a Holistic Approach to Development and Security,” reviews the achievements of the central and Macao SAR governments in the fields of security and development, and looks ahead to the latest national development strategies. It is co-organised by the Macao government and the Liaison Office of the Central People’s Government in the Macao SAR.

Dr. Wilfred Wong, executive vice chairman of Sands China Ltd., stated: “Maintaining national security is fundamental to Macao’s long-term prosperity and stability. Sands China has always considered promoting national security education as an important part of team members’ professionalism education. As the nation embarks on its 15th Five-Year Plan and the Macao SAR begins its Third Five-Year Plan, we hope that by visiting this important annual exhibition, we can deepen and strengthen our team members’ understanding of the national security system, enhance their awareness of national development interests, and elevate their patriotism, love for Macao, and sense of social responsibility. This will enable them to more smoothly integrate into the overall development of the nation, working together for a Macao that is happy and built on the rule of law.”

Led by a docent, the delegation visited the exhibition’s introductory section and five thematic areas. The exhibition highlights the latest developments in various fields and the historic achievements in national security publicity and education under the guidance of the holistic national security concept. It also vividly demonstrates the Macao SAR government’s collaborative efforts with various sectors of society to promote national security education, as well as the sectors’ firm determination and practical results in safeguarding national security.

To further promote Chinese history and culture and to cultivate pride and love for Macao and the country, the company organised a visit to Base of the Education of Love for the Motherland and for Macau for Young People at the Handover Gifts Museum of Macao for Sands Cares Ambassadors and their children April 11, allowing the spirit of loving the motherland and loving Macao to take root at home. Through a docent tour of the multi-faceted exhibition, they gained a deeper understanding of the important Chinese cultural heritage between the nation and Macao, as well as the importance of the Constitution and the Basic Law in maintaining social prosperity and stability.

The visit to the National Security Education Exhibition is part of Sands China’s ongoing effort to promote professionalism education and to comprehensively strengthen team members’ knowledge of the business environment and national development – empowering them to make essential contributions to the development of Macao into a world centre of tourism and leisure. Sands China has been committed to improving the professionalism of its team members company-wide, through various initiatives that have included professional literacy training courses, Greater Bay Area visits, professional lectures, a distinguished speaker forum series, various professional exchange activities, and film screenings. More than 100 professionalism activities have been held to date, totalling over 17,000 participants.
