The city should always be confident about the implementation of One Country, Two Systems and continue to promote and make full use of the policy with Macao characteristics. She also encouraged participants to equip themselves and enhance their competitiveness to embrace the opportunities of the Greater Bay Area, so as to integrate into national development as soon as possible.

Ho King Lun talked about the national plan on COVID-19 recovery, and suggested that Macao should better utilise resources in the Greater Bay Area to promote economic diversification. He also encouraged participants in the seminar to unite while going through tough times.

The seminar was moderated by Sands China Ltd. President Dr. Wilfred Wong, who said: “It is crucial that our team members fully understand the direction of national policy, as the destiny of our nation and Macao are intertwined. With the advantage of One Country, Two Systems and support from our motherland, we are sure that Macao is going to thrive again as the economy recovers from the pandemic.
