Sands China Donates MOP 600K to Tung Sin Tong
More than MOP 7.7 million donated since 2004
(Macao, Dec. 1, 2020) – Sands China Ltd. is
donating MOP 600,000 to Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable
Society in support of the nongovernmental organisation's
December-February fundraising
campaign.
Dr. Wilfred Wong, president of Sands China Ltd.,
presented a ceremonial cheque to José Chui Sai Peng,
president of the board of directors of Tung Sin Tong,
and board members Agnes Fok, Charles M. Choy and Benny
Lam at a presentation ceremony Nov. 27 at The
Venetian® Macao. Sam Chongnin, vice president
of corporate communications and community affairs for
Venetian Macau Limited, and Catherine Kong, executive
director, were also in
attendance.
Sands China began donating to Tung Sin Tong in 2004;
with this most recent contribution, the integrated
resort operator has given a total of more than MOP 7.7
million over the last 17 consecutive years of
donations.
Macau Tung Sin Tong Charitable Society was founded more
than a century ago in 1892, and is one of the most
notable charitable organisations in Macao. Tung Sin Tong
has been offering free medical services, medicine, free
education since the early days of its
establishment.
Sands China's support of Tung Sin Tong is part of Sands Cares, the global
corporate citizenship programme of parent company Las
Vegas Sands
Corp.
